Writing has always been a hobby for Makarah. As a young introverted child, they enjoyed creating stories in their head for every stranger they came across, writing epic romcom stories and even scribbling lyrics to made-up songs. It was not until a trip back to Illinois in 2019 to see their Great-Grandmother (a poet herself), that Makarah decided to focus her education in English and pursue a career in writing.
