Hi!

My name is Makarah Swepson. I am from E. St. Louis, Illinois, the youngest of two, and currently live in Kentucky. I have lived in Texas, Michigan, Georgia, and Alabama. As of 2025, I have visited over half of the United States!

 

In 2022, I graduated from Columbia College of Missouri with a Bachelor's of Arts in English, right after obtaining my Associate's in General Studies in the fall of 2019.

 

My whole life has led to the aspiration to share my voice even if there was no one around to hear it. My only hope with my writing is to remind whoever needs it that community, humanity, and open-mindedness are the principles of a life well lived.

 

When not writing I enjoy live music, being outdoors, exploring other creative avenues such as painting, and constantly learning new things and skills.​
