I want to meet somebody.

For only to know them a little better,

to see them for where they are

and acknowledge the steps it took to get here.

I have no interest in their future

only in the here and now.

And after meeting them

I’ll learn we’re not too different.

We both cling to the same melodic nostalgia.

Went through trials and tribulations we had to grow through.

I want to meet somebody so compatible

I want to keep it a secret.

Not because I’m ashamed

but because with them is bliss.

A personalized paradise.

One that maybe everyone shouldn’t know about.
